We are very excited to reveal that our very talented client, DV8 Designs latest project - a creative overhaul of a historic Cheshire Pub. The Hesketh, formerly known as Hesketh Tavern, has been renovated by the team to create a space that’s reflective of its 1860s heritage yet still retaining its charming and family friendly atmosphere. The new look will feature used worn leathers which will be contrasted with wools to soften the aesthetic. An earthy colour will be used to create a sense of warmth and cosiness for visitors. Some of the notable new changes include wing-back arm chairs, and rubbed back painted timbers to help form the country pubs intimate characteristics. There’s also been a new pergola installed. Managing Director of DV8 Designs Lee Birchall said: “Our brief was to retain the pub’s traditional charm, which is a firm favourite amongst friends and families alike. Many local competitors have been modernised and themed, leaving The Hesketh as the only traditional pub in town, so the design plays to this strength as a unique selling point. “Some of the spaces were awkward, so we have re-considered the flow and layout forming more comfortable areas on arrival and around the bar area. A key element when re-designing the site was its leading entrance, which we have extended to make it much more welcoming and attractive, ensuring that customers can enjoy the impressive design elements of the pub from the moment they arrive.” Lee added: “An important feature of The Hesketh is its on-site carvery so our designs have ensured that this space becomes more functional during busy periods, whilst still retaining its charm and aesthetic. We have also recladded the bar while refurbishing its existing dividing screens to ensure that guests at The Hesketh can enjoy a new look yet familiar feel for their much-loved pub.” Director of Almond Family Pubs, James Almond said: “The Hesketh is well-loved by its regulars and enjoys ongoing success after 11 years since we have held its reigns. However, it needed a ‘sparkle’ as some of the once contemporary elements had become dated while the traditional features had only grown in charm. This inspired us and the team at DV8 Designs to enhance the existing features and play to the strengths of the historic pub.” For more information about DV8 Designs visit www.dv8-designs.co.uk For more information about Almond Family Pubs visit www.almond-pubs.co.uk
