If the words Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donut get your tastebuds a tingling, then you’re going to LOVE our blog post which showcases the best doughnuts that have ever been baked - just in time for #NationalDoughnut Week which is taking place between the 12th and the 19th May 2018. The week was set up to encourage bakers, cafes and companies to raise as much money as possible for Children’s charity, The Children’s Trust by selling doughnuts in their outlets. As we love doughnuts - and more importantly - great causes we thought we’d share our top three doughnuts with you…
The Donut Burger, Red’s True Barbecue
Okay, okay, so this is the perfect mix of savoury and sweet but gosh it’s so good and had to be added onto our list. Made up of beef, melted cheese, smoke bacon, crispy onions and their very own dirty sauce that’s served up between two gloriously sweet glazed donuts - divine! Just don’t look at the calories….
Crème Brûlée Doughnut, Dum Dums Donutterie
If you have a sweet tooth for fancy treats, then you must pay a visit to Dum Dums in London! They have the most fantastic range of treats for everyone to enjoy with one of their most popular ones being the creme brulee. Unfortunately for us, we can only imagine what it tastes like… but if anyone’s passing, you know where we live…. *hint hint*
The rise and shine doughnut
Bacon. Eggs. Doughnut. Start your day the right way with these vastly contrasting tastes which strangely work perfectly together. Mmmm. Is it morning time yet?
And one for the brave...
If you like sardines, and you like doughnuts, what’s not to love about this little delight? Next time you’re in the far east, you’re task is to head to a local market stall and give one of these a try. On a personal note, we think we’d have to pass but HEY, you never know until you’ve tried it. It could be a hidden gem.
