A weekend away for the team at GB Hospitality usually consists of some major relaxation time, a beautiful view, a few glasses of wine and of course, a stunning and stylish hotel. Up and down the country, there are so many beautiful designs and interiors enticing people to find that much needed night away! We thought we’d share with you our favourite hotels - some of which we’ve been lucky enough to encounter. So, if you’re looking for that relaxing rustic countryside break, or that city based shopping trip with the girls, we’re sure that we will have something that’s perfect for you...
Hard Days Night Hotel, Liverpool
Recently crowned winner of the Best Hotel in the UK 2017 by Travelrepublic is the amazing Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool. The hotel is the world’s only Beatles inspired hotel which cleverly reveals the story of the band through its carefully crafted interior design. Suites and bedrooms are filled with Beatles- inspired artwork which creates memories that no Beatles fan could ever forget. Even the finer details such as the cocktail menus are each subtly named after a Beatles reference. It’s location in the heart of the city and is perfect for hitting the bars or a shopping spree. If you visit, we’d highly recommend the Strawberry Field cocktail...
The Witchery by The Castle, Edinburgh
If you’re looking for something extravagant and highly romantic, then you must visit The Witchery by The Castle in Edinburgh. The hotel is based in buildings that surrounded the gates to the gothic Edinburgh Castle which are adjoined to its award-winning restaurant. There are only nine suites available and are each designed in the most beautiful and theatrical setting, including The Library which is described as Rich and Gothic, The Heriot which is perfect for the sumptuously romantic and The Armour for the Dark and Dramatic type. It’s guaranteed to be a stay that you’ll never, ever forget….
The Stanneylands, Wilmslow
Although The Stanneylands is currently undergoing a major refurbishment for many years it has played a huge part as the perfect getaway in the Cheshire Countryside. Overlooking the most beautiful gardens, this boutique country house will remain the perfect location for all to put their feet up, relax with a newspaper and sip on a refreshing craft ale during the weekend. Although it will predominantly be a food and drink establishment, it’s perfect for that cheeky night away! Doors are set to reopen in April 2017.
A Secret Garden, Canterbury near Kent
Okay so hands up we know this is classed as ‘glamping’ and not a hotel in the traditional sense but we just had to include it on our list. Tucked away in the heart of Kent, you’ll find A Secret Garden which is run by Chris and Michelle Whalley. They bring to life the idea of being in your very own secret garden (just like in the book) with really cosy beds that fit into wooden pods that are surrounded by glass walls and ceiling - to make you feel like you’re sleeping under the stars. It’s a really creative and fun concept that we just love. If you’re looking for the ultimate escape from reality, then a trip down South is what you need!
