Every year on March 17th, there is a celebration of Irish culture which is recognised around the world. Although many like to think it’s just for celebrating the culture, it’s also a day to remember one of Ireland’s most famous saints, Patrick, who ministered Christianity in Ireland in the fifth century. How can I celebrate it properly? By heading out to drink, of course! Be prepared to see plenty of green, and lots of Guinness hats! Many bars and restaurants will serve plenty of traditional irish meals to get everyone in the mood including Irish Brown Bread, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Irish Stew and Irish Potato Stew.
